I'm not quite sure what fuels my fascination with aliens. It could be the shape of their heads and their large childlike eyes that I enjoy drawing. It might be the myth and legend that has grown around alien phenomena. Maybe it's the possibility of another world out there in the vastness of the universe that is able to support a familiar looking life form. Whatever it is that stimulates my imagination and feeds my creativity I am happy that it tends toward the friendly and kindred rather than the enemy from without. Most likely it is a search for understanding and possibly empathy that drives me to the little green men from outer space. I love the idea that evidence of our belief in them can be traced to practically every culture and age on earth yet even in this modern age no one has been able to provide definitive proof of their existence. It kind of makes me wonder why they are willing to make contact but refuse to contribute anything to our civilization but the myth of their existence. Maybe they are here to provide a reminder that there are so many things in this universe that we don't see or sense in our regular daily lives. Maybe their message is just to believe. It really doesn't matter why, I am fascinated by these beings and will always make art that includes them.
