During my years of working with various programs I would often find myself sketching the people that came to me for assistance. The faces of the children, which I'm sure by now have children of their own, are so engraved in my mind that I know that I could sketch them today as though they were standing in front of me. I still have a treasure of quick contour drawings of mothers and babies, children playing and crying, pre-teens distant and defiant, young adults struggling to be adults and find their own meaning in that. Other pencil drawings include former lovers sleeping or posing, pan handlers, fellow travelers on various trips and my own fantastic dreams. These, of course, make up the greatest bulk of my personal favorites among my works. |
